Scientists discover astonishing fossil site in B.C. mountain park: creation or evolution?

An international team of researchers has just (February 2014) uncovered a treasure trove of fossils dating back half a billion years in a mountain park in British Columbia. In just two weeks researchers identified 50 individual species, including about 12 that had never been seen before. Some of the species found in Kootenay National Park have also been found in China.
The fossils were found in 505-million-year-old Burgess Shale and scientist hope it will help researchers better understand the sudden explosion of animal life during the Cambrian Period which was around 500 million year ago.
The Cambrian explosion continues to surprise us. After microscopic life emerged in the oceans 3.5 billion years ago, little happened for billions of years, then 530 million years ago animal life diversified very quickly with all but one modern phylum of life appearing in the fossil record. A remarkable event.
This single event corresponds in time to the Godly command to make animals in Genesis 1:25.
To see how the appearance of life as documented in the fossil record matches the Genesis account see Chapter 8 of The Genesis One Code. Not only does the Bible help explain the sudden appearance of almost every animal phyla in a very short time but also the fact that they were complex right from the beginning.
